Only those who have experienced it would know what it feels like, but there is a noticeable gap between using a language for yourself, and using it to support communication between others.
It is really noticeable when you don’t give your all to a project, either because the project doesn’t turn out the way you expected (i.e. worse), or because it does and you wish you could have done more.
The companion to low expectations is not caring so much when things don’t go as planned.
By definition, challenges help us realise where we aren’t good enough, yet.
Getting the upper hand means dealing with the unruly tactics of the opposition.
Go for the small fish, and if you get it, you’ll be spending your days wondering why you didn’t go for the bigger fish.
You gotta be good enough to win it in the face of adversity. It’s as simple as that.
