An excuse to explore your options

I know the Coronavirus has been tough on pretty much everybody, but if it’s caused you to act different in any way, which it undoubtedly has, it could be a way of helping you find out more about yourself.

For example, say you’re an interpreter, obviously your chances of finding live interpretation have fallen to perhaps zero, so you can use this as an excuse to see whether translation is better for you, or even try a completely different field.

Likewise, I assume people are already doing this, but if there isn’t as much work in your usual field, it’s a good chance to try and build up your skill set. I’m trying to do this by learning how to make videos, which is something I’d thought of doing for a very long time.

Change for the sake of change can be good. It can be refreshing to try new things, and it definitely keeps you on your toes, which is where you constantly want to be.

Who knows, you might even be able to combine skills for even more value, anyone need a Japanese presentation made into an English video?

P.S. I’ve updated my homepage to reflect the recent projects I’ve been working on, they’re all YouTube based, I’m not sure if that’s a good thing but there you go 🙂
