Don’t believe the hype

The other day I picked up a SUV that we will be renting for the next few weeks. It’s a little bit different to my Prius, it’s higher, and it has more bells and whistles, it’s also noticeably bigger inside and that coupled with the height makes a huge difference when turning sharply.

I’m not sure it’s really worth all the hype to get such a big vehicle. If I had a big family I could probably get behind it, but it feels so superfluous. It was only a little bit more expensive that a normal-sized car, and I knew I would be using it for transporting adults long distances, plus I thought it would be a good experiment to see what it’s really like to own a car like this for an extended period of time to see if I liked it. Either way, it’s still early days, and it has been quite good until now. Let’s see how we get on.

This post was written on the 20th of February, but I was out of range to be able to post it 🙂 Hope you enjoy it
