Getting ready for winter

Today I switched the car tires on two cars to winter tires, the studless ones. I didn’t know this was a thing until I came here, it had just never crossed my mind and I also hadn’t owned a car before.

It’s funny how many things we just don’t realise are a thing because of our experiences. It’s also a good reason why we should travel.

This is but a small part of getting ready for winter. For us, it’s about the biggest thing to do besides switching to a winter wardrobe and clearing up things outside. That and getting used to digging and driving on metres of snow (no exaggeration).
