Incorporate Silence into your Life

There is a point in Yamabushi training right when we finish chanting a prayer that everything around us falls quiet, and we are stuck in a silent limbo. It is impossible to describe how amazing this silence feels, you really do have to be there, but that this silence can provide such emotion is truly saying something. Of course this is only amplified because we are out in nature, the nature of the Dewa Sanzan at that, but it is in this silence that we truly fathom and come to terms with what is happening around us.

Silence provides us with the chance to reflect, and through this reflection, we come to realisations. These realisations help us grow and change our ways for the better. That's why I think it's important to incorporate silence into your life.
