Leave as little up to fate as possible

It's not so much the writing, more the having written. What a great and extremely apt quote. Like many things, writing can feel like a real chore at times. But if you can get through and produce something, then the feeling of satisfaction at completing it can be quite something. Then you also have the advantage of looking back and having written something.

This was the philosophy I took into doing my MA. When I was on either my last or second to last trimester, I remember wanting to quit then and there. But I kept at it with the knowledge that once you get it, they can never take it away from you. I'm beginning to feel the same with this blog and my videos. While it might be hard while you're making something, once you've done it, they can't take it away from you. At the same time, you know that you have to give your best to every endeavour your undertake so that you can say you gave your best, and you leave as little up to fate as possible. Now I just need to push myself more to truly give my best every time!
