Put the onus on yourself

Sometimes we look at people doing amazing things and think that it’s precisely because they are who they are that they are able to do it. In a few cases that might be true, but it isn’t to say that we can also give it a go.

The thing is, when we use this as an excuse, we get nowhere. This is a form of the resistance making its presence known, and it needs to be stopped.

Instead of saying ‘it’s only possible because it’s you’, we need to change the conversation to ‘it might also be possible for me, let’s give it a go’.

And then we have to actually try. No point putting the onus on others without actually trying something for ourselves.
