Teaching yourself

There are certain skills you can teach yourself if you know how. Languages, building websites, and making videos come to mind, and these all have the same requirement: a hell of a lot of practice.

You should be getting in as much practice as you can. Don’t let yourself talk yourself out of getting in the practice you need to do. Just get out there and do it!

At the beginning stages, don’t think too much about the rewards you will get, focus on having done the practice being your reward. But don’t just keep it to yourself! Make sure what you’re making or practicing is getting out into the world though, feedback from others is tantamount when you’re trying to teach yourself something.
