The gravity of the situation

hitchhiking astronaut

Never let the gravity of the situation get to you. The situation is what it is, things might not be as normal as they usually are, but the gravity of the situation has no standing on how you should feel. If you’re able to accept the situation for what it is, it means you can also in a sense forget about the gravity of the situation, and focus on what you are there to do.

Often the added pressure that comes along with the gravity of the situation is just excess baggage. It’s unnecessary to think about and only makes you do a worse job. Focus on being in the moment. Focus on what the moment can bring, and on what you can bring to the moment. Not the situation.
