The last spurt

The last spurt.

The last part of the race is all about what you’ve done until then, it’s all about how much energy you’ve got in the tank, it’s all about whether you can truly push yourself to the limit.

When it gets to that point, a lot of the time you’re running on adrenaline, so in a way everything is in preparation for the last spurt. Everything is hoping that by the time it came around, you’d have the energy left to push through.

If you’ve made it this far, you can make the rest. Stay calm and steady and win the race.

P.s. Of the words to become Japanese this is one of the weirdest.
