A storm is always brewing

Here's something the mountains taught me.

Be prepared, or be able to be prepared at the drop of a hat. In other words, if you're not mobile, you need to be able to be mobile at a moment's notice.

We never know what is going to happen when, and we need to be able to adjust to circumstances as they arise. This is as true on the mountains as it is in our daily lives. We need to trust our processes that we can get back on our feet if and when we need to. We also need flexibility to work with whatever arises.

This is where Uketamo comes into play. The sooner you are able to accept the situation, the sooner you are able to see reality for what it is, the sooner you are able to move on.

A storm is always brewing, but those who have prepared get to relax in the knowledge that they have prepared, and they also fare better when it comes.
