I deleted Twitter and Instagram

I deleted the Twitter and Instagram apps from my phone. Both I’ve found to be major time vacuums that I think have a negative impact on how I want to use my time. Facebook I had already deleted, I don’t think I’ve ever had it on this phone (besides messenger).

So now when I pick up my phone, instead of automatically going straight to my Twitter or Instagram feed, I’ve had to do something else. One of those things is in fact opening up this app to do some writing.

So far it’s worked wonders. I’ve found myself very motivated to write and wanting to get back to writing as soon as possible, which didn’t really happen in the past.

The problem then becomes making posts, but I think I’ll take Tim Ferriss’ advice on this and do it in batches, either by downloading the app for this specific purpose, or using the respective websites, which you can now do.

It’s still early days though, so we’ll see how we go.
