Improvements are all you can make

One advantage of working on new projects is that at the beginning stages you can see a lot of area for improvement. In fact, if you’re really new, improvements are all you can make.

I’ve been working on a video, but there are a lot of areas in the filming part that I can make improvements on. For starters, I was using a narrow lens, and all you see are closeups of my face and not much background, which is what I want to focus on. There are some things that I should have filmed but forgot, so I need to remind myself to get those shots, and I can think more about the story in doing so too. Not to mention, I should probably be more upbeat!

These are the sorts of things we need to make sure to do every single time we go out and work on something creative. And that’s just the starting point. Once you have that down, other areas where you can improve show their ugly face. Which is to say, improvements are all you can make.
