Investing and making videos

The Mogami River seen from Matsuyama, Sakata

When it comes to investing, the best time to start is yesterday. The second best time to start is today. And I think the same might be true for making videos.

In investing, starting early means you can take greater advantage of recurring interest, the eighth wonder of the world that can end up giving you more money than you start with.

The amount of organic reach you can get on Facebook and Instagram has plummeted to near zero in the past few years. Which is to say, if I had started making videos a few years back, I probably could have been much further ahead than I could were I to start now, given the same timeframe of course.

So the lesson is, if you’re going to do something do it yesterday! Barring that, start it now 🙂
