It’s not always necessary to climb to the top

So we climbed Mt. Chokai today. And we climbed. And we climbed. But we didn’t get to the top. Part way up, my friend wasn’t feeling the greatest so we turned back. But it still feels like we climbed the whole mountain. We were at it for at least 6 hours, so I guess it counts right?

Although we didn’t make it to the top, there is still a feeling of satisfaction, and I think it comes from the true aim of climbing the mountain, well for me at least, and that was to be with my friend. Of course it would have been nice to get to the top, but it’s not always necessary.
