It’s only temporary

Let things settle down when emotions are high

Heightened emotions are the exception. They are just a phase. They are not a permanent solution.

Remember you are going through temporary feelings, and any big decision now will be affected by these.

Stop and focus on your breath. Do what you can to keep a cool head, and don’t act rashly. Even better, forget making decisions while emotions are high. The chance for real regret is too great. Best to wait for the temporary situation to change back to normal.
