Make yours an unhealthy obsession for helping people

What’s the bottom line? What’s the thing that really matters? What’s the thing that shifts the dial, that motivates action, that promotes change?

Do you have an unhealthy obsession with vanity figures? The number of likes, followers, comments? Take your unhealthy obsession and use it for the bottom line. Make it an unhealthy obsession for helping people.

Otherwise, what are you doing with your time? Vanity metrics mean absolute zero if they don’t help at least one person. They may even be having a detrimental effect on you if you let them.

Don’t let them. Focus on the bottom line. The vanity metrics are a mere symptom of helping people. They aren’t the aim, nor should they ever be.
