Making videos comes with experience

When it comes to filming for beginners, like a car, you just have to trust your gear. There are some things only experience can teach you, and some things only the right gear can help you achieve.

I’ve spent the past few hours filming on Mt. Haguro, but I’m not sure if the sound quality is where it should be.

I used a separate voice recorder and mic, but when I play back the sound, it’s not very good. I’m hoping it’s a different story for my computer. Either way, it’s definitely better than the mic on my camera. It seems like software can go some way to fixing that, but I’d like to be able to get it right every time.

The only way I can know if I’ve done it right is of course to try to put it together into a video. Even if it doesn’t work as well as it should, I’m going to post the video, because with that comes feedback from the real world, feedback that adds to my experience, and means I can be better next time.
