Muscle memory
Use it or lose it they say about languages. This much is true, but the fact that you can pick up a language again shows that muscle memory is a powerful force.
When you want to learn a new skill, a language, or even something like a computer game, even if you suck at it (hint: you will), get as much practice in as you can when you can.
When you have a new device or your device has a new feature that you will likely use in the future, or even if you don’t, it’s worth playing around with it as much as you can as soon as you get it.
Even if you can’t quite get the hang of it, this will put you well on your way.
Time on task is the theory that the longer you do something, the better you get at it. Getting a head start by, well, doing the thing, goes a long way in building your time on task, and building your muscle memory, or at least your brain’s ability to build muscle memory.
