No harm done

Tim Bunting Kiwi Yamabushi

When you’re trying to do something that’s never been done before, by definition the road ahead is an unpredictable one. Sometimes you think you can see a way through, but it turns out what looked like a path was a dead end.

Don’t be dejected. You’re doing something remarkable by leading the pack and looking for a new way forward. Turn around and backtrack a little until you find a way through. No harm done.

What if you backtrack so much that you get back to where you started? Good. Now you know what doesn’t work, and have a bounty of knowledge to push you forward in another direction. No harm done.

Where we lose is when we give up. But even then if you’ve learned something along the way, it may not be a total loss.

Put on your shoes, and get started again. No harm done.
