No More Excuses

Some excuses are perfectly justified.

For everything else, ask yourself how you are getting in your own way. How are you trying to sabotage your own efforts? And what can you do to stop it?

This is a classic example of what Stephen Pressfield describes as the resistance (seriously, read this if you haven’t before).

Some excuses are unnecessary extensions of justified ones. Some are downright unjustified.

Your task is to know which is which, and to have the nous to know when you’re only fooling yourself.

Once you know, you can get back to doing what it is you have set out to do.

We humans are idea machines. However, at the same time, we’re also very good at not letting these ideas see the light of day. And often all it takes is a kick up the bum, or a tiny mental shift.

Get out there and let your ideas spread!
