If you don’t fill your time, someone else will. This old adage rings true far more than I’d like it to. That’s why it’s important to put ‘me’ time on your calendar. You have to prioritize yourself, otherwise someone else will find a way to prioritize you.

It may sound contradictory, but this is in an effort to better serve others. Only you know what you really need to do to do good work, only you know what you need to feel like to feel well rested. Having someone else schedule things in before you get the chance to, feels like you are being robbed of time. And you know what? You probably are.

Make sure you prioritize time for yourself, otherwise someone else will.
