Roll with, not against

meditating buddha figurine

When you’re stuck doing something you’d rather not, you make it worse for yourself by fighting against it. Your energy is spent thinking about what else you or others could be doing, rather than focusing on and accepting what is right in front of you.

In these situations, it’s all too easy to miss the point, to miss what it is that makes the activity worthwhile in the first place. Best to Uketamo that you are in the situation, and roll with it, not against it.
