Say yes to nature

Chokai-san (Mt. Chokai)

The rest will take care of itself

As Master Hoshino says, put your self in nature. Sense. Then reflect on what you sense.

That’s all there is to it.

Well, of course there’s more to it than that, but this is the premise of Yamabushi training. It’s about saying yes to nature. It’s about saying yes to what happens, and accepting.

But the thing is, you can’t just read about this stuff. It has to be experienced. There’s no two ways about it.

When you learn to say yes to nature when you learn to accept nature, you learn what it means to be a yamabushi, and you learn what it means to live well.

Say yes to nature. The rest will take care of itself.
