Starting out

No pressure

Starting out is often the best time because that’s when everything is fresh, and importantly, everything is an experiment. You really can’t put any foot wrong because doing so can just be put down to inexperience.

For a moment there you forget your experience, or lack thereof, and focus entirely on what’s at hand. It’s just you and the experience itself, free from preconceptions and assumptions.

And this is exactly why carrying the beginner mindset forward with you is so important. Pushing forward with things as if it’s your first time everytime is how you keep things fresh, and how you stop yourself from becoming complacent.

Forget the expectations placed on you from both outside and from yourself, and focus entirely on the experience as the experience. No pressure.
