The Power of Nature

It's hard to put into words how key of a distinction this is, but for traditional Japanese attitudes to nature, I've found it's not so much about 'exploring' nature, it's more about accepting your place in nature.

We don't 'go into' nature to discover nature, we 'go into' nature to feel a part of what we already are, a part of nature. It is this return to our roots, or a reminder even, that we have a place in something much larger than ourselves. This is what helps us feel re-energised and re-invigorated whenever we are 'in' nature.

That is the power of nature.
