The Sum of All Parts

One thing that Moneyball teaches us is that when it comes to achievements, we should see people as the sum of all parts. We have to look at people not for the mistakes they make, but for the positivity they bring; their overall contributions, not their black marks. And also, not doing so will be to our detriment.

Of course if someone does something unforgivable, then you shouldn’t forgive them. However, we have to take the mistakes into consideration and never write people off. Take a long-term look at achievements, in other words.
