The Uketamo Muscle

student with documents and laptop happy about getting into university

The Buddha says life is suffering. Uketamo is a powerful way of dealing with suffering.

Although hard, I have found this to be the case in my own life. I have found that the sooner I am able to accept things for what they are, the sooner I am able to get over them, and that over time, this practice gets easier. Uketamo then becomes like a muscle. With practice and training it builds, and uketamo becomes almost like muscle memory.

Although they may not be what you like to hear, when you get to that stage, things become much clearer much sooner.
