There’s an advantage in being a first mover. There’s one in not moving at all too.

If there’s a chance your plane won’t leave due to something like the weather, get on last. Don’t check in until absolutely necessary. Keep your luggage with you until you’re sure the plane’s leaving to stay mobile in case it doesn’t.
