Write a draft

person writing on a notebook beside macbook

I've tried everything to be able to stay on top of my emails. The thing is often I am a bit too busy to respond to them as soon as they come. So I would often star them on the assumption that I would come back to them later, but this doesn't work for messages from Instagram or Facebook, And to be honest, it only works part of the time for Gmail.

One solution that I've been working on recently, is to start writing a draft response. Even just a short few words is enough. If you're like me you hate having notifications remaining. This is especially true for draft emails, it is probably the one category that I have always kept empty. So, I use the draft function as a reminder to get back to the people I need to.

But I think this is not limited to only email. When you were given for example a homework task or something that requires a bit of creativity, you can start by quickly riding down the ideas that pop to your mind. That way when you come back to them, you have something to work on or to build on. for that reason I think writing drafts is a great idea.
