You’re not going to win any beauty contests

You're not going to win any beauty contests, but does that mean you can't live an ordinary life? You may not be the prettiest person in the room, but that doesn't matter. All you need is for someone in the room to respect you for who you are.

This sounds like love advice, and it could be, but I mean it more in a sense that even if you aren't the best in your class, there's always another class. If you aren't the best in your school, there's always another school.

The pool is huge, you don't need to limit yourself to such a small number of people. But at the same time, the pool is huge, and you don't need to be the best in it.
