Create. Meditate. Move.

a person meditating

Create, meditate, move. These would be my top steps to living well.

Create means you use your brain to get your ideas in the world. This could be anything. A blog. An artwork. A new program. A class even. When it comes to creation, we often try to talk ourselves out of doing things, usually for pathetic reasons. This is called the Resistance, and it needs to be quashed. That would be your first port of call.

Second is to meditate. Meditation gives you perspective. It sounds counterintuitive because you’re looking inside yourself, but that’s exactly where you find out how small and insignificant you really are. Which I assure you is a good thing! We all need to feel like we belong, and we all do belong in this giant universe of ours. With perspective, we find out that we don’t need to be well-known or at giant in the giant universe’ to live well.

Third is to move. At first I was hesitant to add this as I find it very similar to meditation, but exercise and being with friends and family is a great way to stay healthy. Coupled with a good diet, you really can live well.

Create. Meditate. Move.
