Flexing your Uketamo Muscle

To practice Uketamo is to practice acceptance. Yamabushi training is a way of practicing Uketamo, as is simply being in nature, meditation, creative endeavours, or anything else aimed entirely at putting you in the moment.

Acceptance is always the fastest way to move on. If you don’t accept things, there will always be something nagging you in your head until you do. Therefore, frequent practice of Uketamo is ideal.

We never know when we will have no choice but to accept things. Frequent practice means your Uketamo muscle is better prepared to get through the inevitable when it comes.

That is why frequently doing things like yamabushi training, being in nature, meditation, creative endeavours, or things aimed entirely at putting you in the moment are so important.
