Hi, it’s Tim from planet earth

What is the purpose of asking where we’re from? Why don’t we switch it to where we are going? Why the focus on the past? So we can see if someone matches our expectations of where they’re from? What if we don’t know anything about where they’re from? If we ask where they’re going, wouldn’t that give us a better idea of how we could (or could not) be involved in their future? Wouldn’t that be more relevant to us?

This post is a combination of two ideas. I truly do want to try asking people where they are going, rather than where they are from. The other idea is that questions are more useful than we think. By questioning, we can better put thought-provoking ideas in the brains of those we want to change, right?
