How much heart?

How much heart do you put into each project? If it's something you really want to do, should it be 100%? Maybe. The problem with too much heart is that you start to focus on making things perfect, when getting it done is more important. I think it's OK not to put too much heart into a project. You have to adjust the amount of heart depending on your outside limitations. How soon is the deadline? How many other projects do you have on the go? Also, how much do you care about the project? At the same time, if these and other limitations mean you can't put enough heart into the project, then it's not worth doing in the first place.

In other words, the amount of heart you put into a project shouldn't be too high as to be debilitating, nor too low as to be worthless.
