It ain’t over till it’s over

Don’t celebrate your success prematurely, basically.

I’ve been helping with a number of projects in the past few years, some of which were very promising, but ended up just fizzling out. This makes me a bit weary when new similar opportunities come up, but I try to not let my previous experiences influence these new ones too much.

Of course there are red herrings and warnings that should be taken on board, but in some projects literally anything could happen, so it’s best to do your best until you have something concrete to work with.

At least that’s what I’ve learned over the years. Make it real before you get too excited about it.
