It’s all part of the learning

Today I recorded about 20 minutes of video on my camera, and when I put it in the computer, I realised the sound wasn’t working the whole time. At first I had planned on recording just a little bit and checking it to make sure something like this wouldn’t happen. I guess I forgot that part.

I’m going to have to retake the video, but that’s fine. I was very stiff. To get my face in it while standing up, we had to put the tripod at its highest setting, so next time I’ll try sitting down. I’ll also try wearing more casual clothing, the shirt was a bit much…

I could go on. But I won’t. The point is, these potential reasons not to continue aren’t enough to get me to stop. I’m determined to see this through, and you will see videos here in the near future. Only thing is, if you’re reading this in English, the video probably won’t interest you. Alas.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hi, I’m Tim Bunting AKA the Kiwi Yamabushi, a New Zealander who became a Yamabushi Ascetic in the Dewa Sanzan mountains of north Japan. I’m part of the Yamabushido team, and we host life-altering Yamabushi training on the Dewa Sanzan (website link). People come to us for the ultimate mindfulness experience, to reach the next level, or simply connect with nature and themselves.

I’m on a mission to summit all 100 Famous Mountains of Yamagata Prefecture to spread the splendour of this fabulous location, and in dedication to all those who lost their lives out in nature, including my father.

On my daily blog I post thoughts of a practicing Yamabushi that I hope people can use to better themselves and live as fulfilling a life as possible.
