It’s not as easy as it looks, but it’s not impossible
In Japanese, when you ask someone to do something and they don’t want to do it, nine times out of ten they say ‘that sounds difficult’ instead of giving you a straight up no. When you’re used to it, it’s fine, although it does get annoying. Especially when I point out that difficult and impossible are not the same thing. That’s when you get a straight no.
Well, I thought making a video would be difficult, but I knew it wouldn’t be impossible. So I made it. In terms of editing, it’s not very good, I don’t know how to get royalty free music so I missed that part, and the production still wasn’t that good. There’s only so much good editing can do. Either way, I knew it wasn’t impossible, and I made it. Now I just have to do the same thing again and again and again…
Here’s the video 🙂
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hi, I’m Tim Bunting AKA the Kiwi Yamabushi, a New Zealander who became a Yamabushi Ascetic in the Dewa Sanzan mountains of north Japan. I’m part of the Yamabushido team, and we host life-altering Yamabushi training on the Dewa Sanzan (website link). People come to us for the ultimate mindfulness experience, to reach the next level, or simply connect with nature and themselves.
I’m on a mission to summit all 100 Famous Mountains of Yamagata Prefecture to spread the splendour of this fabulous location, and in dedication to all those who lost their lives out in nature, including my father.
On my daily blog I post thoughts of a practicing Yamabushi that I hope people can use to better themselves and live as fulfilling a life as possible.
