Mental preparation

Tim Bunting Kiwi Yamabushi

Next week I will be joining in Yamabushi training, for the whole week. It starts on Monday, and ends next Sunday.

I keep having these moments when I am highly aware of myself, highly aware of what's going on. When this happens, I picture myself in different situations, and I think this is a byproduct of Yamabushi training.

Which means it's working.

Yamabushi training is all about being in the moment. I think this hyper awareness of the moment is what that means. And my guess is that holding this for the longest time is the best way to go about things. If you can imagine yourself in a future scenario where you are hyper aware, you can use this to your advantage in your training.

Nothing beats actually being in that moment, but if you can practice for it, say through Yamabushi training, why wouldn't you?
