Mingle Cafe

Back in 2016, a friend and I ran an experimental cafe. Every other week, on the day that my chef friend had off, which was always a Monday, we would borrow our mutual friends' cafe and run a cafe for a day. I was in charge of making coffee and waiting on people. My friend was in charge of the food. The name, was Mingle Cafe. It was a combination of the English word Mingle, and 'min' and 'guru' in Japanese, Min meaning people, 'guru' meaning going around or mixing.

In a nutshell, the idea was to get people who otherwise wouldn't to mingle. We wanted people to be more open to others, to take in their ideas, mix them with their own, and come up with new ones.

We were also invited to make coffee at an event named 'Sho-naight'. I felt very honoured to have the chance (although I don't think I did a very good job, but that's another story).

This told me that, if you put your idea in the world, you never know where the traction will come from, but it will come eventually.
