No regrets

Better than not getting lost

Today I climbed a peak I had climbed many times before. I am very familiar with this mountain, with the windy paths, steep slopes and deep forests. However, there was one spot I had never been to that caught my eye.

So I followed it. And followed it. And followed it. Until I had gone too far. Until I had to turn around and retrace my steps because I was getting lost.

But I’m glad I went there. Now I know what it looks like. Now I know what to expect when I go there.

Now I have no regrets.
