One drum at a time

Tips for learning

At first the drums can be very tough to learn, but there are a few tricks you can use. First, go slow. Get it right first, and worry about momentum later.

Second, listen for the individual drums. When is the snare played? When is the kick drum played? What is the high hat doing? Try playing just those drums. Combine this with going slow at first, and before long you’re well on your way.
