Reacting to other people

Tim Bunting Kiwi Yamabushi

An important part of Yamabushi training (and therefore life), is how you react to other people. Or more importantly how you react when other people break the rules, or do something against your rules.

For example, this is frowned upon yet not enforced, but it’s ok to bring in your own food to training. Usually if you did that you would eat it somewhere where nobody else would know, but some people are quite brazen with this.

When it comes to Yamabushi training, you have no real control over what other people do. You can feel jealous, or you can sort of just ignore it and focus on your own training. I know which one I’d prefer.
