Remind yourself you’re alive on a daily basis by doing things that force you to be in the moment. Cold showers. Meditation. Yoga positions. All these

If you don’t, more often than not you’ll find something else does in jarring fashion.

But these things that help keep you in the moment make you think twice about your actions. Are they truly necessary? Are the beneficial? Am I being lazy or unhelpful? This sort of practice also makes it easier to switch on when you need to as well.
