Shifting goalposts sounds like a recipe for disaster. Once you think you’ve reached one goal, and it turns out you hadn’t reached it, you might feel quite dejected. Don’t.

Shifting goalposts are a good thing. They keep you on your toes. Because once you’ve reached that final goal, well, you’re not here anymore. Shifting goalposts means you’re still in the game.
