Something to show for it

My three year old niece was grinding some coffee beans in the hand grinder for us. And she kept grinding and grinding, and she wouldn’t stop. She wouldn’t stop because she was going the wrong way. She was trying really hard, but getting nowhere, because the right way took effort she didn’t want to put in.

If you’re going to do something, it’s much better to get somewhere by putting in the effort, than to get nowhere going the wrong way just because it’s easy. That way you’ll have something to show for it.
