Stop to smell the roses. Then thank them.

Japan is a country of appreciation. It’s a country where even the smallest things are thanked. Marie Kondo is a prime example. Making sure you stop and take the time to appreciate what the things around you have given you.

This could be due to the polytheistic nature of the place, but for whatever reason, there is a deep appreciation for the things that allow us to survive on this earth. There’s a deep understanding and recognition that without all these things, we wouldn’t exist.

It’s about valuing things for simply being.

It’s about stopping to smell the roses, and then thanking them for their existence.

Without which of course, our existence wouldn’t be possible.
