Tested not simply talked about

First you need a clear understanding of what the problem is. This can be a very hard thing to figure out at the best of times.

The best way of finding out what the problem is, is to take action. It’s to put your ideas into practice to see whether your assumptions are just assumptions, or whether they carry some weight.

Once you have a clear understanding, your next actions are made much more obvious.

At this point though, it’s easy to speculate, and to hypothesize and just leave it there.

Once again, action is necessary. You now have new assumptions that need to be tested, not simply talked about.

And that’s how you push forward. Conjecture and assumption can only get you so far. Action takes you to the next step.
