The ability to say no is a core leadership trait

Being able to prioritise is a core competency for leaders. If you aren’t able to say no to more than a few things, you risk losing course on your main mission, the one you are supposed to be leading.

It’s easy to get caught in the trap of meetings, committees, and the like. However, if all these things do is bring you away from your main mission, you either need a new main mission, or to say no to those things.

There’s no two ways about it.

What is your mission? What are the things that could potentially derail it? Why are you doing those things?
