The resilience of a monk

Monks go through tough training. That’s what it takes to be able to call yourself a monk. But to think that you can’t do that, that would be a mistake.

The training monks go through is of course tough, but in a way we all have to go through this training some time in our life. Monks are just doing it voluntarily (or because they feel the urge), so that when the time comes that demands resilience, they are better prepared.

So, know that no matter how tough things get, humans have the ability to get through it, it may demand the resilience of a monk, but it is possible.
